Susan graduated from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University with a BA in Communications and a minor in Marketing and loves the marketing aspect involved in real estate. She enjoys designing new innovative marketing campaigns around the uniqueness of each property. A believer that details make the difference in buying and selling real estate, Susan is concerned about every detail of her clients’ move from start to finish. Putting the client’s needs first is always her top priority.
A successful real estate professional since 2004, Susan has been in the top 3% in the nation at one of the largest real estate franchises and a constant top producer. Susan joined a local boutique company in 2013 as Owner and Broker Associate. She managed a team of Realtors and served on the Board of Directors. In July 2017 Susan sold her share in the company and joined Sotheby’s International Real Estate.
Prior to calling Southern California her home for the last 25 years, Susan relocated her family many times during her husband’s 20-year Naval Aviator career. Consequently, she has personal experience and a true understanding of how relocating affects a family and how to minimize it to ensure a smooth transition when moving to an unknown community.
In 2025 Susan and her husband Mike relocated to Southport, North Carolina in the community of St James. She currently works for St. James Properties, LLC and holds 3 Real Estate licenses in North Carolina, South Carolina, and California.
With extremely strong negotiation skills, Susan is referred with confidence by her past clients and Realtors® nationwide. Her experience includes all types of transactions such as short sales, REOs, resales, and of course, relocation.

Susan is the realtor of your dreams. Key points:
- She did not push us in any way, we bought in the crazy COVID market, so we saw so many houses and put in several offers. She never pushed us outside of our comfort zone on price and always made herself available for last minute showings.
- Stayed incredibly neutral on all houses. Her breadth of experience & knowledge allowed her to offer the good and the bad of each house we looked at. Again always keeping budget in mind.
- She even took care of our 1.5 year old daughter for a bit when we viewed a house that didn't allow kids inside. (Don't expect this... I'm sure she made an exception for us, because our daughter is rad :-)
- After we found a house her services didn't stop. We had an issue with our home warranty company - it took 6 months to get our oven fixed, and i could not get a hold of anyone. I couldn't get a hold of anyone until Susan stepped in that is. Because of her years of experience and relationships she has built - once I brought this issue to her attention, I had a response from a US representative from the home warranty company within the hour and a new oven within the month.
I could honestly write a novel on all the reasons you should use Susan if you are buying or selling a home. Instead, I would just recommend you give her a call, you will see exactly what I am talking about in the first 45 seconds of speaking with her.
