Lisa Nieves, BFA:

I specialize as a Listing Agent/Broker for St. James Properties, offering expert market insight and personalized guidance. My services include preparing your home for the market, pricing it strategically, and negotiating on your behalf throughout the sales process.

Originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, I grew up as the oldest of four siblings. I hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Illustration and Design and spent 17 successful years running an award-winning photography business in California and North Carolina after relocating to Wilmington in 2005.

I began my real estate career in 2015 with Intracoastal Realty, transitioning to St. James Properties as a dedicated listing agent in 2018. Since then, I’ve been recognized as a top agent annually, with hundreds of successful transactions.

I’m married to David Nieves, a St. James Properties Buyer’s Agent, and together we reside in a beautifully remodeled 1940s Colonial home in Wilmington’s historic Forest Hills neighborhood. In my free time, I enjoy decorating, gardening, traveling, and exploring art museums.

Above all, I’m a proud mother, grandmother to a delightful 2-year-old grandson and a newborn granddaughter, and the loving owner of two fur babies: a Ragdoll cat and a Maltipoo pup.

David Nieves, MBA:

I work exclusively as a Buyer’s Agent/Broker for St. James Properties, consistently achieving Top 1% status among Brokers in the Brunswick County Association of Realtors (BCAR).

I grew up in Staten Island, New York, and began my professional journey by joining the military at 18. Over a distinguished 24-year career, I served as an Air Force Non-Commissioned Officer for 14 years, specializing as a Carpenter with Civil Engineering before earning my Bachelor’s Degree and transitioning into a role as an Industrial Engineering Analyst. I then served 10 years as a Commissioned Naval Officer, receiving my Dual Master’s Degree in Business and Healthcare focusing on healthcare administration.

My Naval assignments took me to Oakland, CA; Guantanamo Bay, Cuba; and Nashville, TN, where I spent four rewarding years recruiting medical professionals, including physicians, dentists, and nurses. As a Navy Medicine recruiter, I earned national recognition as Officer Recruiter of the Year, excelling in recruitment and sales across all 50 states. After this highly successful tour, I served as an administrator at Charleston Naval Hospital before retiring in 2005 as a Lieutenant Commander.

Following my military career, I pursued a second profession in real estate, specializing in lifestyle residential sales. I began with Daniel Island Real Estate in Charleston, SC, in 2005 and relocated to the Wilmington/Southport area in 2014. Here, I discovered my passion for the coastal lifestyle, the welcoming community of St. James, and the relaxed charm of North Carolina.

Above all, I cherish my roles as a devoted husband to my beautiful wife Lisa, St James Properties Listing Agent, a proud father to my daughter, and a grandfather to my 2-year-old grandson and newborn granddaughter.
